I don't have the precise date close at hand, but CN stopped delivering chlorine to the Ashbridges water treatment plant around 2019-2020.

Looked on google maps, there are a ton of "spurs" branching out. I wonder if who owns the majority of the land the rails run on? Such as unwin ave

Historic train spotting and always fun to see a picture/angle one hasn't seen before. I wonder if @crs1026 is in the crowd :)

Saw the CN Business Train in Pickering today:

Love this thread! Long time railfan. 👍

I may have posted a few of these elsewhere in the spring, but thought I'd upload all of them in their full hi-res versions here.

First series is at the monstrous CN MacMillan Yard and the second set are from the smaller CPKC Toronto Yard.

Something little different. For some reason this popped into my FB feed. For some reason I couldn't copy the text that accompanied it but, apparently this was a conversion in Austria in the 1930s. DC overhead power was inverted to 3-phase AC, then rectified to DC and fed to motors attached to 3 of the drivers. All of the electrical hardware was inside the hollowed-out boiler jacket.

All was lost after Germany invaded.
