I have a feeling most will actually go to museums or other railways, mainly for parts though. They're still in great shape (for heritage vehicles), and both Cities and heritage railways eat PCCs up. There are very few agencies that showed interest in the CLRVs (and less so the ALRVs) because so few cities had some form of involvement with them, and only 1 city ever operated them full time.

The problem with that is that the PCC-IIs are not really PCCs. They have a PCC-esque shell, yes - but underneath, they're fairly modern LRVs.

And unfortunately, they've always been quite unreliable ones at that. (The joke about "Brookville kwality" comes up frequently here.)

Kenosha may pick up one or two of the best ones, but even then I have my doubts - "regular" PCCs can still be found, and the parts are far easier to work on than the computerized ones used on the PCC-IIs.

Didn't realize the differences were that significant. My bad.

How long before the "Tour Tram" returns to the streets of Toronto, using the CLRV's this time? Using pantographs instead of trolley poles, of course.

4024 was sitting at the rear of track 20 on the weekend and is tracking. It was sent to Hillcrest to push 4207 if it fail in its travel from Hillcrest to Russell. There was a service truck following 4024. 4207 is also tracking and in the service bay last seen 10 hours ago. 4024 back on track 20..

4024, 4051, 4170 & 4040 still have headlights on them that I could see, but a good number don't. 4123 has protection where the headlight used to be. 4193 has a red wire running out the back side window and running to the underside at the rear.

CLRV 4024 was loaded Monday to go to Halton County Radial Railway for storage and then will be ship to American Industrial and Mining Museum in PA. 4170 will be leaving Russell Tuesday Mar 17 and will join 4024 and onto American Industrial and Mining Museum in PA.

I'm surprised there are even that many still on TTC property.
I stand to be correct, but 2 going to the east coast, 2 more to Halton and others could be on hold for someone else. Not sure if one or 2 are for TTC as spare parts or they have the spare parts at the Barns. Since TTC has the space, nice to see them there than bits and pieces in a scrap yard, if you can find them.

4081, 4001 and 4207 in the carhouse along with the 2 PCC's.
