Tory just increased property taxes, so capital money becomes available. I expect news at this month's Executive committee on allocation of these funds.
Until the budget is approved, the money is not available. Tory might approve doesn't mean all councilors will approve.

As of Sunday, Bathurst is now on the list of routes using pantos.
It been ready for pans well over a year, but mostly CLRV's ran on it until Dec 29/19.

Depending on which yard the 511 & 512 come from, the cars for 511 along with 509, 510 and 512 will most likely have pan up leaving the yard. The 504B could have pans up as well. 501L can have pans up only after it reach the line.

Looking at some videos I shot a few months ago, 506 still not ready for pans.

501 and 504A will remain poles until 2021/22 until the Roncesvalles Intersection is rebuilt unless 501 get split into 2 different sections.

On December 17, Toronto City Council approved an extension to the City Building Fund to invest an additional $6.6 billion in improving Toronto’s transit system and building more affordable housing across the city.

Splitting 501
There been talk about splitting 501 like 504 and this is what I see to do it.

501A Runs from Humber to Russell yard.
501B Runs from Neville Loop to Shaw/King and loop back east by Dufferin St. This will allow the use of pans on day one if all of Queen is done.

At the end of the day, TTC will need more cars to do this as well beef up all routes.

Dare to dream of a 503 that is a) an actual streetcar and not a bus for half (or more) of the year and b) runs literally from my home to my office. That Bingham to Dufferin route was done as a test or diversion at some point and it was lovely.

If all the the cars are now in service, what’s the hold up on the 503?

4600 is now tracking
4406 still not tracking after arriving December 19, 2019 (20 days). May see service Jan 29.
4599 should enter service around Jan 13

Now where are 4601-4604 + 4401 other than 4601 in transit???

Then whats up with 4471 and 78? 4471 was ship to NY April 03, 2019 and 4478 January 23, 2019. Both were ship to TB at the same time last year.

Cars shipped to QC and still MIA
4403 February 20, 2019, 4404 February 20, 2019, 4405 April 10, 2019, 4407 June 07, 2019, 4408 June 28, 2019

This leaves TTC short 14 cars

TTC has 198 cars on the books with 15% ratio that leaves 168 cars for service. Then there are 20 cars out of service for long time and that cuts into the spare ratio.

Now, where are all the cars in service to allow 503 cars to resume service along 505???

4599 has enter service on 504 (brbs) after arriving December 30, 2019
4600 has been out the last 2 days testing.
4406 GPS is all over the place and was tow to Hillcrest and back for some reason a few days ago.
Anyone seen 4601 yet?

I expect that any new streetcars they order won't need a trolley pole. They can just go on panto only routes if the network isn't fully converted.

Its a given that all future order will be pans only, now the old fleet is retired. The questions is, will the Heritage Fleet be converted to pans and if so when???

Bombardier released two cars on Friday, presumably the above 4601 and 4602. I wonder if we will see a photo op for 4603 this week.

Wasn't 4603 supposed to be release last week and 4604 this week??? Or was 4604 to release last week and 4601 Jan 2/3rd??? https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1211692385329143808

Still got to convert 4401 from prototype to production car yet to complete the order 100% and when will that car be release??? The conversion has been about a year for the other cars and it was sent to Quebec on May 14, 2018 and only arrived in TB from Quebec about 3/4 months ago.

TB still has 4471 & 78 to fix from the flood damage and how long for those cars??

Once these cars are completed along with the 36 GO Coaches, the TB plant has no work on the books for it, unless some Metrolinx cars are to be built there. By doing so, it will allow Kingston to work on the Edmonton cars that are longer than TTC, Metrolinx and Waterloo Region cars.

Expect Kingston will build the Ontario Line equipment since it will be empty when productions starts on the Ontario Line equipment.

4600 testing on 509 at this time and 4406 still in the service bay.

I thought the way the TTC has been wiring the panto compatible system, is that its backwards compatible with trolley poles. So they will never need to convert the heritage fleet to panto. They can still use trolley poles on the panto routes.
