When will the Flexity Outlooks only be delivered with the pantographs? No trolley? Will that mean we'll have to wait till the 501 QUEEN route itself goes with pantographs? Or beyond?
ALL 204 cars are coming with both. You will find your question and answers through out this thread for the last 2 years,

Until TTC finish installing the overhead on King and Queen, Pans will continue to operate as is. 2020 is when the whole system is to be completed, 3 years late.

Queen and King of course they're gonna be the last routes for pans, they're both long and TTC will have hard time finding time for fixing the OCS at the time that it won't be distrupt service
 
@drum118 Do you know if the poles and associated equipment are able to be "easily" removed down the line when they are no longer needed?
Once the system is 100% converted and TTC is happy with it, the poles will be removed from the cars. At the same time, the poles could act as a backup if something goes wrong with the pans.

With a stockpile of trolleys, they'll probably sell some of them off to cities with trolley buses or the Halton County Radial Museum.
 
All manufactures use the same double seat layout over the wheels that I have been on.
It seems to be the cost of the 'all low floor' option. The irony is that was for 'accessibility' (ostensibly) and yet it offers none at that point.

As for seat width, the entire TTC is remiss. Even the back seats on buses are divided up into five horrendously uncomfortable 'pans' with a bit of cloth on them. For someone without lots of padding around their backside and upper legs, they're excruciating. (I've had a medical spell where bone and muscle was deteriorating in that region, albeit I'm bouncing back). The CLRVs offer the best back seat experience, at least the seats are ergonomically dished, even if width is still wanting.
 
If one rides systems around the world, there is a wide range what you maybe sitting on. Wood, Plastic, Fiber, Fiber padding, Foam and so on are what you can find on any vehicle and it depends on the system and what they are willing to pay for them. The PCC's and the H4 had form seats, but wouldn't last long on today cars due to vandalizing that take place today. You can find cut fiber seats today on any type of vehicle for TTC.

Depending on what TTC wants to save as heritage cars and will use them for charters, they will carry a stockpile of poles until the cars are converted to Pans.

As for overhead, most lines straight section are 75-100% converted, but not all intersections. Some straight lines may have areas where it a hit and miss where either a short or long is missing between sections. Everything from Long Branch Loop to Parkside Dr is 100% converted for 501 in the west and 100% done east of Parliament..509, 510, 511, 512 is completely done, but no idea why 512 is being shutdown for a number of week east of St Clair W Station to fix it. Starting later this year with luck, cars will be able to leave the Barns with pans up for the current pan routes.

They don't want foam for the seats and poles as. foamers would have a field day out of it :). And, St Clair situation could be, I don't know, an issue with the overhead or something. TTC surprises me...
 
I assume nothing got out of Lambton yesterday, and there sure as hell won’t be anything today...

4573 was shifted to Agincourt over the weekend, which suggests that a delivery is planned, but I doubt it will happen in this weather,

Both railways are on their knees this week, due to general winter issues plus a string of derailments. It's remarkable how these things propagate across the system. No one has hinted that there is an actual production issue at either Kingston or Thunder Bay, but the delivery process is definitely bogged down.
