It's not just a matter of car vs transit. It's a matter of dollar volume and potential. Would you rather have the contract to deliver every streetcar built in Ontario or every automobile?

Squeeky wheel gets the oil in this case I guess.
 
^I’m usually the conspiracy theorist, but in this case - other than the symbollism of streetcars being delayed by an auto-related impediment, I wouldn’t read too much into the current situation. The Toronto terminal is still congested, rested crews are scarce, and there aren’t that many sidings left where cars can be stuffed until they can be handled. CP just needs to get its act together. Nothing anti-streetcar intended in all this.

4528 seems to be out this morning either in service (finally), or perhaps doing an in service test. It's signed as a 504 this morning and at Dufferin Loop when I last checked.
 
4528 has enter service on 504 (504Bush) after been here 28 days.

4531 was out testing last night an in the service bay
 
Likely 4534 at Lambton. 4535 arrived Agincourt overnight, so we now have four cars here awaiting delivery to Hillcrest, whenever CP can get those auto racks out of the way.

How about that.... the new cars are bunching for the first time, and they aren't even unloaded yet.

Likely having to have their "papers" inspected for the correct "fare".
 
Unless the auto racks weren't moved lated this afternoon, 4534 will be delivery once the racks are remove.

Talking to the crews at Lambton Yard this morning, they said if the auto racks were to be move late in the afternoon as plan, 4534 would be drop off later in the day at Hillcrest.

If 4534 is drop off tonight and off loaded Thursday, one of the other 3 cars in Agincourt yard would be drop off on Friday. The other 2 will be off loaded next week. If not, it will happen when the racks are remove with all 3-4 being off loaded next week.

Current thread started in 2006. Contract was signed in 2010 with deliveries of production vehicles in 2014.

With production vehicles for the next contract supposed to start in 2025, we are already 4 years late for that thread! :)
 
4530 Just enter service on 501 (501A) heading toward Broadview after 16 day. It was moved to the yard around 8 am.

4531 was also in the yard at the same time of 4530, but it in the service bay now. It almost looked we would see 2 cars today
