Once it becomes busier, Glencairn station could get a Gateway Newstands; Marlee Variety in Marlee Village is the nearest convenience store.

Great news! How fantastic this section will be when Yorkdale Arc-En-Ciel is finished

Are they still actually working on Arc-en-Ciel? It's been something like a year since the last indication of any progress there... Would be great news if they are!

im not sure, but they should re-do it with LED strips, that are much ore durable and have a longevity.

That’s the plan.
It's probably going to be the last thing that is done once all of the other construction is complete

I cannot wait for the artwork for Glencairn station to be restored. By the way, it's the nearest subway station to where I live.

I believe it's being done as part of the overall upgrades to the station, so we probably won't see it until at least when the new elevators open, if not after that.

You can see it on Sat after 1 pm

"The Honourable Marco Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and Member of Parliament for Eglinton-Lawrence, His Worship Mayor John Tory and TTC CEO Rick Leary as they celebrate recent upgrades to Glencairn Station, including a colourful skylight featuring artwork by renowned artist, Rita Letendre, and new structural supports."

What a great development in a city that often seems indifferent or even hostile towards investing in its public realm. I just hope that the interior of Glencairn hasn't lost much of its original Brutalist design with bold concrete structural features exposed and colourful red-brown brick tiles.
