Give the guy a break - he was actually a pretty good Councillor and TTC Chair. Yes, he (literally) screwed around in his office but ..... (That said, though he certainly meets some of the requirements, there may be better folk out there for the CEO position - the problem will be to attract them here where the transit agency has slipped badly in last decade and where the City is not rolling in $$$$! and we have Premier who thinks he is a Mayor.)

It will be interesting to see how much (if any) track realignment will be made here.

This would be a great time to shift TTC tracks west from QQW to Fort York as proposed a few years a go as will clean up Fleet intersection with real platforms and remove the westbound lane

We should ask the Premier to appoint the TTC chair. Might as well drink the kool aid now.

I assumed (or hoped?) that this was what was happening too.

As far as I know, there needs to be an EA to do it as well the tracks south of the intersection along with moving QQW tracks south to the crossover since those tracks are due for replacement. Then, Waterfront can finish QQW like the rest of the road.

This was raised during the Reset study. It even goes back as far as the first design of QQW where TTC stated they didn't have the $15 Million to redo the trackwork and it would have to wait until early 2020's to make the change when the tracks had to be replace. Been part of Waterfront plan to rebuild that section of QQW and deal with buses/traffic gaining access to the southside of TTC ROW.

What is meant by shifting the tracks from Queens Quay to Fort York? I have no idea what this proposal entails. Surely we are not advocating to remove service west of Spadina?

In fairness to Adam, its been more than a few years........

Without condoning his past behaviors, I might add, he is far from the only Councillor to have sexual relationships with staff/interns/others at City Hall.........the former Mayor exited for just said reason, and there's someone at Queen's Park who..............
I don't recall any reports at the time that she was employed by the TTC or the city. There's a big difference between single person, who pissed off an ex-girlfriend by choosing someone else and married man with a direct subordinate, who then arranged for her a job in a company related that you are a director of.

I don't think Tory even had to resign over it. It's not like Rob Ford resigned over far, far, worse.

The proposed plan was have an ROW on the west side of Bathurst from Fort York to QQ with a new connection to Fleet to remove traffic from the picture as well having real platforms and shelters on Fleet/

The same would apply to QQW that is currently a centre ROW.

There's an drivable entrance to the lower level. That's how they get all the cars in for the autoshow.
I figured there'd be one somewhere. I'd hardly expect the place to have an elevator/hoist/crane capable of lifting a large & heavy vehicle to the 2nd floor (obviously the 2nd floor must be able to handle large crowds of people, but I made no assumption about it being designed for the weight of large vehicles).

I think the allusion made here is not that she was a City employee, but much more literal in that they had sex in his office in City Hall.
