TTC takes steps to improve pedestrian safety along 90 Vaughan bus route

This Sun., May 10, six bus stops along the 90 Vaughan bus route will be taken out of service in order to improve pedestrian safety and better standardize the stops network. The stops are:
o Stop #8424 - Vaughan Rd. at Wychwood Ave.
o Stop #8407 - Vaughan Rd. at Wychwood Ave.
o Stop #8419 - Vaughan Rd. at Rushton Rd.
o Stop #8406 - Vaughan Rd. at Atlas Ave.
o Stop #8412 - Vaughan Rd. at Jesmond Ave.
o Stop #11360 - Vaughan Rd. at Robina Ave.
The TTC engages in a comprehensive process when making decisions to remove stops. The remaining 90 Vaughan stops are located close to an intersection or designated mid-block crosswalk and within 300 to 400 metres of the next closest stop.
Customers will be advised of the changes through on-site communications, bus stop pole notices and digital communications channels including the TTC website and social media.
All transit shelters located at the soon-to-be out of service stops will be removed by the City of Toronto within three months.
