Special meeting on Thursday at 7.30am. No agenda
There's never been one there in the first place. That's a rough-in for a future install. Not sure if anyone has posted this before but one escalator at Hwy 407 station has been permanently removed, which looks pretty dumb. When did this happen?? LolView attachment 655812View attachment 655813

or the new CEO's?7:30 AM video conference?
Is there a union or other contract to rubber stamp?
I'd think that would go under "other". I assumed from the Mandeep Lali thread that was already done and dusted. But if not, then yes, that must be it.or the new CEO's?
When has there been an 7:30 am meeting before this one??7:30 AM video conference?

With community council meetings all day Wednesday and Thursday, and Eid on Friday, it might be what makes to have the CEO in place before the TTC subcommittee meetings on Monday. With video conferencing, a 15-minute meeting at that time isn't such a big deal. Hopefully all the councillors have their cameras off while brushing their teeth! When has there been an 7:30 am meeting before this one??
It probably means it is expected to be very short - mandatory - meeting, squeezed in before others. As I suspected...When has there been an 7:30 am meeting before this one??
Steve Munro has his usual useful take ... https://stevemunro.ca/Mandeep Lali has been confirmed as the new CEO of the TTC.
This was approved at the meeting noted above this morning and publicly confirmed by the Mayor a few minutes ago.

Lali joins the TTC after three years as a senior executive in charge of subway operations with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York, according to his LinkedIn profile. Lali began his career at Transport for London, the transit agency that operates the London Underground subway system, where he worked for 13 years, Myers said when introducing Lali at the press conference. From Transport for London, Lali left to work at Otis Elevator, a global elevator company, as an executive board director for seven years.
Rick Leary set a very low bar.Wow, the first time in history a city department didn't hire the absolute worst person for the job! I have my fingers crossed for positive change!
