Thanks, what is not clear (to me anyway) is whether they are going to shift the streetcar tracks on Bathurst to the west side of the street from the rail bridge (Fort York Blvd) to Lake Shore and create a separated track. This was spoken about a few years ago and would seem a good idea and not that hard to do.

Do you mean both north and south, or only south? I think northbound would be hard since those link up with the tracks from the other side of Lake Shore and then those may need to be reconfigured too. This may cause a very tight left turn for the 509 heading to the Ex on Fleet or the 511 heading north from Fleet.

It can be done with the shifting of traffic stop location further west than it is as well shifting fleet tracks to the south to keep the same turning radius that exist today. The platform would have to be further west as well

Even thought there was talk of doing this a few years ago, I don't think the shifting of the tracks to the curb lane will happen unless it can be done without an EA, Shifting the tracks south of Lake Shore would require closing the access entrance/exit off on Bathurst.

Shifting the tracks west between Fort York and Fleet would improve streetcar service a lot better for the 511 as it would not have to deal with light to a point, but need a new set at York from going from the centre to the west side. Traffic would no longer have an impact on the 511 and better flow for them.

We will know come February/March as to what is going to take place for the track.

Then there is TTC track replacement on QQ east of Bathurst St to east of Yo-Yo Ma Lane that is now over due now, That was talked about as well redoing QQ to match the rest of the road to the east of Yo-Yo Ma Lane and will that happen or straight track replacement??

The discussions (several years ago) were to move both tracks from the bridge to Lake Shore / Fleet to west side of the street and stop all westbound cars etc on the first few blocks of Fleet. This might need an EA and is not, I suspect, in their 2025 plans but ...
