Personally I want most of the exterior to remain as-is, including the color. Just need to install some windows and more welcoming entrances so that the building no longer resembles a Soviet-era bunker.
Yes, keep the colour, it stands out and is vibrant. I can't wait for this era of almost everything being some shade of grey, blue or black to come to an end. It was fashionable for a while, but getting kind of boring now.

All of these would beat the library lol.

The building itself is, pretty objectively, not great for street interaction. I really hope they keep the yellow, and if Airboy is hearing $50M, hope we can get this building updated with better entrances, a modern touch, and a bit of an updated design. Its charm is that it's yellow and stands out, not in the form itself, since it's just a windowless bunker with literally zero redeeming qualities at street level.

Based on some of the work I've done on other rec centre upgrades we may see a lot of accessibility upgrades. You would thing that with the Old Steadward centre they would have done more.

The library architects may have been consulted to throw something together again. The Calgary Tower appears in the second rendering.
