Greenpark’s newest condo opens in Markham

New Markham high-rise is a winner

Greenpark’s newest high-rise condominium, The Upper Village, Main Street Markham, will redefine the stretch of Main Street Markham just north of Old Markham Village.

The 20-storey building’s distinctive architecture is classic yet contemporary and will include convenient retail shops at street level.

Its safe to say Upper Village 2 (UV2) is a direct mirror/flip of the first tower ~

These towers and townhouses, along with another townhouse development and a new mosque (NIMBYs will never admit it's the mosque they most object to) are producing a tidal wave of NIMBYism in the area. This is what's being handed out at GO stations:

Wow those things are absolutely hideous. If I didn't know better I would have thought those renderings were MCC circa 2006... Daniels must be involved. lol
 
You can tell that the NIMBYs are motivated more by Islamophobia than anything else because the most prominent silhouette in their brochure is clearly a mosque.
 
well...if you think about it, the 2 towers and the mosque is really what is being built... I wouldn't think it's islamophobia rather, just highlighting the projects and what will happen.
