The market can expand north of 102 Avenue intersection (which will remain open) and is exploring other options as well, as vendor demand for next year is very strong.I need to move tf out of Icon before this spring, 102 closure for 2025 + Beaver Hills/Michael Phair construction is going to make alley access a freakin' absolutely nightmare. And sounds like the Saturday market is then going to have to run at reduced capacity, assuming they'll only have vendors from Michael Phair to 102 to accommodate access.

I'm guessing it's an issue of the gantry not being designed to (safely?) function in Edmonton's winter conditions, considering it was originally built for a project in Dubai. Can't imagine it's an issue of joining the precast guideway segments in the cold.
They can mill the asphalt to remove it. Also thanks for the info!I called Marigold today, and they said that their plan is to re-open the north lanes soon, keep both sides open for the winter, then close the south side next spring to re-build it, and then work in the centre on the actual lrt infrastructure. They anticipate a couple more years of "heavy construction work" at this point. They originally intended to re-open the north lanes tomorrow (October 31) since that's the usual end of the construction season, but going by the forecasts they're now planning to go until mid-November. They're pushing to complete as much of the permanent infrastructure as possible, and minimize the amount of temporary roadwork that'll have to be replaced later on.
Speaking of temporary infrastructure, I noticed that it appears as though they paved over some of the new curbs along the north side of 104 Ave, to accomodate entrys/exits from the Brewery District. Can the asphalt be chipped off later on without damaging the curbs, or will those curbs need to be replaced?
