I was surprised and delighted tonight to see some parts of new edge lighting being tested on the Telus Garden condo tower. Didn't know for sure if they were going to light up those edges like on the office tower. If it's like the office tower then initially the lights will be extra bright but will be toned down later. And the outline of the boxy sections will be complete. I'm presuming they will also eventually light up the edges on the podium.

Just as I was making my way over to get some updated pics of the ground level and new sidewalks, I see this. One of the construction garbage bins on Richards Street burned. I will be checking back to see if it's been cleaned up and if there's any smoke damage to the building. Although I believe there have been some new owners getting to do their walk throughs on the lower floors I don't think there was anyone occupying the building yet. Hopefully all the windows were still closed.

This building has some really really great finishes, which bothers me all the more given the overall design is kind of a mess.
Not quite deserving of a "dumpster fire" title (nor a literal dumpster fire), just a little unfortunate to me.
