There are still a few surface lots near BC Place
Stadium and one block behind the Orpheum Theatre,
but they are rapidly disappearing (yes, all within the past 10
years).

I photographed some parking lots (some seemed empty and
unused) near Downtown Vancouver last July.
This is near the stadium, I thought.


 
Yeah, those parking lots are at southeast False Creek across the water from the Stadium.
They will start building the Olympic Village next to those lots (on other demolished sites) this year.
 
Fantastic job with the photos Ganj....I don't think i've ever seen such a quality vancity tour like that before, especially by showing all some of the classic Vancouver architecture that pre-dated the modern invasion. Vancouver is definitely a nice city, and I can understand why people rave about it...but for me, I hated the one year that I lived there. I prefer the hustle and bustle of a T.O. or Chicago over the laid back quiet atmosphere of Vancouver.
