I didn't specify what kind of punishment. Though yes, if we are to derive from kkgg7 "in kind" logic, that'd involve incinerating his abode with himself inside. (But reflexively speaking, that's his psychopathy. Not mine.)

I would like to see Bernardo put to death via lethal injection, as well as the Shafia case bastards, but I don't think torture is necessary.

Ah, and that's were the slope get's slippery. The Shafia case isn't a clear-cut as Bernado. Put all 3 of them to death? Are they all really guilty of first-degree murder? Or are some only really guilty of lesser crimes, and the jury had no choice but to convict them all, as their story didn't add up. I have no doubt that one of them is guilty of first-degree murder.
