DNA - "Downtown's Next Address"

And others that obviously chose the acronym before deciding what it meant.

They have a name for that, it's called a "backronym". Seriously.

Also, i'll toss my hat in for "the Bohemian Embassy". BARF!

Victory Condos. I can't help but feel I will be brought in for thought crime, or be forced to drink Victory Gin and Victory Coffee.

Is it intentionally a 1984 reference? Or did they just try to take a synonym of the "Success tower?"

The question is whether there will be a condo on the first floor. If so, I want first dibs on unit 101.

The name "Victory Condo" would make most sense at the NE corner of Dundas + Spadina, maybe with Dita Von Teese types hawking the condos

i had to come back here and give a mention to "iLofts".

"Right on, brah. that'll fit into my iLife perfectly. Kewl."

Yeah. That will appeal to the Cantonese/Hong Kong market that is dominant in parts of York Region.

That could be the result of a developer trying very hard, but not understanding the market and making very a serious faux pas. It would only be worse if ads said "make a great leap forward to Richmond Hill - MaoHaus at 8888 Yonge - a cultural revolution". It won't sell, I'll tell you that much.

That's ok you guys, the day could come when condos start selling naming rights much like sports stadiums do. Imagine living in Ebay Towers or Pepsi Park or Snapple Mansions.
