Someone posed this question on Retail Insider and they hints they gave seem to suggest Versace. They already have a stand-alone store in Vancouver but currently nowhere else in Canada, which seems strange. Yorkdale or Bloor would certainly make sense for them.
I just heard from a reliable source that Uniqlo will be coming to Toronto in 2015!
Opening in Yorkdale, with the Nordstrom expansion!
Tngrn, Did you create that layout based on having a lease plan of the expansion? Because you're pretty much bang-on as to where Nordstrom and everything else will go. We've got the lease plan if anyone is interested.
Not sure if you guys read the news about Yorkdale committing $3.4M for security in light of the 2 recent events at the mall.

I think the ability of the cameras to read licence plates will be helpful, although I'd imagine a number of getaway vehicles would've been stolen vehicles in the first place. With the number of high end stores arriving (and already existing) in the mall, I think this will appease a large number of people but, in reality, will not prevent major incidents from happening in the future. That said, at the risk of sounding like a big brother supporter, all in all, I think it's a good idea.

Does the Yorkdale Mall area have a problem with street crime that would make the license plate readers necessary?
