A new landmark on Montreal's skyline is tying into the rich history associated with the Montreal Canadiens NHL franchise, among the oldest professional sports franchises in North America, and an organization dear to the hearts of most in Quebec's largest city. The 50-storey Tour des Canadiens, from developer Canderel, is well on its way towards a final height of 548 feet, or 167 metres, and upon completion will become the second tallest residential tower in the city.

The 552 unit condo development is quickly rising at the intersection of Rue Montagne and Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal, immediately to the south of the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens since 1996. The building's tie-in with the adjacent arena complex was a major driving factor for sales of the condominium units, with roughly half of purchasers citing the beloved Canadiens brand as a reason for their investment in the project.

This project falls within the Cadillac Fairview-led $2 billion CAD redevelopment of Downtown Montreal's new Quad Windsor district, which includes Tour des Canadiens, in addition to eight other condo and office towers that will further intensify the area surrounding the Bell Centre.

Once complete, the Martin Marcotte Beinhaker Architects and IBI/CHA (Cardinal Hardy)-designed high-rise tower will include a direct connection to the Bell Centre, as well as RéSO, Montreal's famous "underground city". This below-grade connection will link residents to Montreal's Metro as well as over 1,600 shops and 200 restaurants.
