Agreed. There were a number of outdoor concerts and music festivals at Lamport in the 80s and 90s.I think that there is tremendous potential here for all sorts of gatherings/events.
Would be great if we could get a CPL team and the new women's soccer team as tenants.Saw this tender posted:

I read somewhere a while ago that AFC Toronto wants to play at Lamport but can't so they also play at York Lions. Not sure how substantiated that is but it makes sense and I would love for them to play closer.
Where in Downsview would this be? The city-owned field with the blue track? I suppose there could be room to put stands on one side for up to a few thousand people, but Lamport is already an existing stadium.... They are actually looking into a Downsview move. Not Lamport
With news of York United and AFC Toronto meeting with the City about Lamport I'm guessing they are no longer looking at Downsview.Where in Downsview would this be? The only matches I can recall in Downsview with a few paying spectators were TFCII ones in 2019 with some small temporary stands at one of the TFC training grounds fields.

TMU plays on the pitch next to the blue track. I think it's called Downsview Park #2. North Toronto of League1 Ontario also play on that pitch. The four pitches to the south are the TFC training ground IIRC.Doesn't TMU play at Downsview?
