2555 and 2556 have been in service since the 10th, and reportedly 0838 has also entered service on the 10th.

Glad to see new buses being brought into service.

Really interested and happy to see the forward planning encompasses the entirety of the city. Tad bit funny how some of the areas set to get Higher Order or Züm are rural areas. I’m a little surprised that the McLaughlin corridor is only set to get priority transit south of Queen, and that Torbram is listed only as a “support corridor.” These other big ideas should help offset those either way, but nevertheless, these plans are great!

Edit: I didn’t even see the proposition for a transitway on both the 407 and 413, amazing!

Transitways on the 407 and 413 are both listed in official provincial plans, and are consequently included.

Despite some of the shortfalls that BT has at times, it really makes me happy to see this forward thinking. It seems that every time I've heard BT improving their transit operations by moving routes around, it isn't a question of 'if', but 'when'.

What really stands out to me is the grids. However.... I'm hoping that Brampton Transit does not do a LRT down Bovaird, and instead does a BRT. I've just lost all faith in LRT's after seeing just how long they take to be constructed and finally come into service. With BRT's, all you need is the road resurfaced, painted, and curbed to be separated from traffic. A+ If they get dedicated lanes that are separated from traffic in the middle of the road along with TSP / Independent signals. THAT would make me happy.

A question arises however - If higher order transit (LRT/BRT) extends down northbound on Main street, should the line remain underground until a certain point, or remain underground to the terminus? Should it go above-ground at Bovaird until its terminus at Mayfield road?

Mississauga Road NB of Bovaird is actually being widened to 6 lanes as we speak with a flyover for cars to keep traffic moving. It's good to see the region is actually making progress in that regard.

All I have to say is I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future.

FYI - Argo Transit has started the Public Phased Rollout. Create an account if you haven't already, select the region, and you can go ahead and request access. You'll get notified once access is made available to you if interested.

While I’m not a fan, it’s kind of odd that they haven’t mentioned the entire list of service changes, because there are a couple more, specifically to Route 28 Wanless, which now will have a start time of 4:30 am.

What did the service frequencies get adjusted from?
Good question, wish BT posted this stuff as well

1/1A Queen currently runs at 10 minutes peak combined (20 minutes seperately), during the midday they run currently at 15 minute headways (30 minutes uncombined), and the 1 for the rest of the day runs a mixture of 20-30 minutes into the evening and late night hours.

As of October 27th, the 1/1A will now run every 11 minutes combined in peak hours (22 minutes individually), and 16 minutes during midday. During the night hour service will be a mixture of 22-35 minutes service.

The overall service frequency (45 minutes) on the 17 has not changed, just individual trip times.

Route 18 Dixie currently runs every 7 minutes during the AM peak, and every 9 minutes in the PM peak. Midday service is at every 15 minutes with night service ranging about every 20-30 minutes

On the 27th of October, it’ll now run every 8 minutes in the AM peak, 10 minutes in the PM peak, and every 17 minutes in the Midday. Night service is at a nice even 20 minutes.

The 501’s Saturday service went from 15 minutes to 16 minutes during the Saturday daytime.

I'd expect a random small change between now and the end of the year for the 5 Bovaird to go back to heading straight down Goreway again as the CN bridge is done and will open to the public on Friday.

I think it was in one of these transit plans that they might re route the 5A to have it also head down Goreway, and then do the Kenview/Darcel routing that the 5 currently does right now.

Little funny you mention that considering a “detour” this weekend in which the 5 will be temporarily reutilizing its old routing. Because of repaving on Finch

Thank you for this, as always, you take these things from clear as mud to clear as (clear) glass.

On the substance, looks like a slight deterioration of service overall.

I wonder if BT had a heads up on today's K-W announcement which included many new trains to Bramalea and other service adjustments likely to impact them. The above seems to suggest not given that the next board period for Brampton is January. One would assume some impact to Steeles and Bramalea services in particular.
