Well, now I need to go and look up what you mean about the "edgy divisiveness of Balenciaga" cause I loves me some hot goss, but I know literally nothing about the luxury market because I'm too damn cheap.

The foot traffic, including a location that works for out of town visitors and tourists, is great for a mass market mall which West Ed essentially is.
I don't know it this matters as much for more uspcale retail or helps, but its not like some of these stores have other Edmonton locations so their customers have to go here.
However, I agree it could be that this particular luxury retailer was not as good a good fit for the Edmonton luxury retail market. Despite the foot traffic not everything works here or elsewhere.
