Simons there would be fantastic, and I think would do just as good as the WEM location, perhaps better.

Or a mall expansion into the south parking lots, with a few residential towers would be nice. The existing housing stock around the mall is quite dated.
 
WEM is not represented on the list -- if it had been it would likely rank 1st or 2nd.
Also it probably would have been the top one in Alberta or close to that. I am surprised Toronto still does so well, given chronic affordability issues there I would have thought retail spending would be weaker.

Perhaps it is just sheer numbers and having more of the top 1 or 5% living there.
 
WEM would be #4 or #5, probably close to the same numbers as Chinook.

Toronto might be an expensive city to live in, but it’s got a lot of money and the people who are struggling aren’t the target demographic for Yorkdale.
 
Do they include all the features at WEM in the total square footage? That would dilute the sale as per square foot.

Using the same website as the other post, in 2023 sales in the centre run (so no attraction areas included) were $1200. So for 2025 I’d assume we are somewhere between #4-6.
