That's disappointing news (again) from Glen Murray.
But really Ottawa council were being crybabies, just like Toronto council always is. They said they wanted Ontario to upload it and, if not, they wanted to charge a toll to non-residents. So they were just trying to shift responsibility.
They should have asked to charge a toll on all users to pay for a widening of the highway. If they were proposing a way to pay for new infrastructure, it would be pretty hard for Murray to say no.
Lessons for the left on Toronto's council in this?
