I think Rob gets the undeserved sympathy because he seems like a baby that can't defend himself. Doug comes off as a gangster.

You'd think so, but Doug could easily say "Rob had a lot of people working on his campaign, and I obviously didn't know all of them closely. If I met Lisi, I certainly don't remember." It's not enough to say that something is likely with Doug, you have to have evidence that's clear as day, otherwise he'll find some way to weasel out.

I agree with this, but it's still worth bringing up. The sort of evasions and semantic exercises Slob and Thug specialise in might technically get them off the short-term hook of any specific question, but when they're so consistent and slippery over and over again, the pattern is unavoidable and any inclination to give them the benefit of the doubt fades fast. By all means, let's make them keep saying dubious things and operating in obvious bad faith.

did Chief Blair insinuate that Doug had a conversation with Lisi? Maybe in the interrogation, Lisi said he talked to Doug. If that's a lie, that's not on the police, it's on Lisi.
No, Blair didn't. He said Lisi told him Doug was going to complain. My assumption is that Lisi heard this from Rob.

Notice how Doug just keeps repeating "he's never met Lisi" as though that means something? Has even one reporter confronted him with the possibility that Rob boasted of their "plan" to Lisi who told reporters during his interview?

Does Doug not realize that all interviews with a suspect are taped, thus Blair can back up what he claims Lisi told him?

I thought he said Lisi told him a complaint was coming. I don't think the Chief even said the complaint would be from Doug. At least not directly?

Don't forget to tune in to The Agenda on TVO tonight. Unless of course you think watching Dougie sling his usual baloney might be bad for your blood pressure.

Airs at 8 and 11 p.m.

Two Takes

One man's Toronto is another woman's Crazy Town? The Agenda speaks with Councillor Doug Ford and Author Robyn Doolittle for both sides of the Ford story.

How funny was it that Kelly was learning how to do CPR while this was all going on? Also, just as Ford was starting to babble about the rinks, his twitter feed talked about boy scouts.

I can't believe what I heard in those two scrums. How funny was it when Dale started laughing and Doug "reprimanded" him, then Jackson Proskow had the nerve to hit him with questions which made him the most unprofessional media person out there? And I like how he names them as if that's going to make people turn against them!

Something HAS to be coming.

Has this been recorded already? Will Douggie and Robyn be on at the same time?

The segment with Dougie Jr. was taped on Monday. And according to some Twitterati, they are interviewed in two separate segments, not a panel or joint interview.

Heh. Joint.

We have another eight months of this foolishness? I'm likely going to have to stop following this crap, I'm near my breaking point with this INSANITY.

When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing.

(Looks at calendar on wall. Notes the date.)
I hope you're right :)
They got a warrant for all the video, audio and photos Lisi conveniently stored in iCloud.

Maybe this just dawned on DoFo.
Images /audio of Lisi with Dougie etc....

Doudie Ford looked really rattled at news scrum today. He had baggy, blackish eyes and saggy cheeks today.... to stressed for makeup today...i guess.

Spotlight must be dimming on the Ford brothers future illumination.

Thanks for the clarifications.

It's really unfortunate that Doug's wasn't recorded after today's little hissy fit.

I wasn't aware that Blair had doubled down by going to the OPP. Have to admit, that causes me a moment's doubt. And yet I still can't be convinced that Ford's behavior wasn't objectionable on those calls. What can I say? I'm more inclined to believe 911 dispatchers than the likes of Ford and Blair. Guess I'm stubborn that way :)

You know, if Blair really was covering for Ford back then, he must surely be regretting it now.

So maybe Ford said the c-word instead, or described himself slightly differently. Whatever. I still believe Blair has more to lose from those calls being released than Ford, and Ford has the power to release them. However carefully Blair parsed his words, the impression he gave was "nothing to see here folks!" and I don't buy it.

Nor do I.

But why on earth was Blair running interference for Mayor Assclown in the case of the infamous 911 call? Was it just him underestimating how crazy Ford really was? Any thoughts?

It's all a conspiracy involving Tory, Blair and those media elites--kookoo bananas time.

Comment from John Tory on the Fords' comments: "“This is a disgrace. Torontonians deserve better."

And Soknacki's excellent response to today's war of words.

New RT@Soknacki2014: I support our hardworking Toronto police, and their Chief. But they've never heard of me either.

Maybe this has been mentioned before but I can't help wondering why someone doesn't start a "Boycott Deco Labels" movement?

Surely the business must suffer from all the Ford brothers' antics? If Toronto wants rid of these two wouldn't it be advantageous to take the battle to their backyard?

Plus it could only help in cutting off the source of their "entitlement" and stem the flow of the blood feeding this tumour.
