I was actually defending Mikey, saying that we should wait to hear him speak before we completely write him off (not expecting anything different from a Ford, but at least willing to hear him out).

Now he won't speak to media? So all we know about him is his association with his deplorable uncles and his complete lack of experience.

And y'know, if it weren't for the "biased" media, the Fords wouldn't be elected in the first place. So, to cut them off, well...consider how much real viewership the Ford Nation Youtubes got.

Come to think of it, are there any more Ford Nation episodes up the pike? There *ought to be*, y'know, given how the election's inching ever closer...

Man this show's cast is getting bigger every season. First there was Rofo, then Dofo, then Difo and Kafo, then Mifo, now RoboRofo-call.
Haven't seen as much of Lisi, McRobb, and Chief C&$&Sucker though. So anyone going to TiFo the next episode? I heard it's an outdoor picnic episode. I keep thinking they can't jump more sharks after this.
But they always surprise me every single time.

It's like Downtown Elitest Abbey. It was great in the first season... but started going downhill once they started killing off characters.

Oh! Idea for a protest: the Fords show up at the park (whichever one it ends up being ...) to find the site occupied by campers.

I got another neat idea: holding up "do you know who David & Mary Thomson is?" placards.

I made a wrong turn this morning and found myself stuck behind a garbage truck on a narrow street. I had time to kill so I wasn't overly sad. Somewhat disappointed in myself, yes, but whatever. As I put the car in park to stare at the back of the garbage truck, my disappointment dissipated. In what felt like some sort of Twilight Zone moment, the newly-painted letters on the back of the truck made me question whether I was in fact awake.

To most west-end residents this wouldn't have been anything out of the ordinary. But I'm east-end... like the east-end of Canada... in Halifax.

As an expat who follows this saga with much fervour (up to and including spending the first days of my last 'vacation' home sitting in council chambers), some how a very small link in the Ford Fiasco has made it's way to my own back yard. What to most residents here represents some innocuous change of the garbage-guard, actually has some roots in the ongoing gong-show back home.

Given their business model and bad publicity they have racked up so far, I wonder how they managed to win the contract back here. I now have my own little line of inquiry. Feels good, baby!

I saved the best part for last! I have only called 311 twice in my life. The first time was a month ago, as we found a lost dog. The second time, this evening, because my motherf*cking garbage wasn't picked up.

And another thing I've been whimsically mulling: given how backfiring-prone the Ford Nation machine's been this year, I wouldn't be surprised if this year's Ford Fest gets hit by a cronut-burger-esque food poisoning outbreak--now, *that'd* throw one heck of a monkey wrench into the works.

Couldn't help but noticing the toilet in the photo. Don't the Fords and DMW hate toilets?

Party til ya puke at Ford Fest is gonna have a missing element, no?

So, back to JimmiT's latest post. (Congratulations on the twins, by the way!)

The gist is that possibly Kathy enticed Rob into the basement to make a video, for cash, and for revenge on Doug. That might explain the cockamamie production values (no sound) or perhaps that was deliberate. Did Kathy cash in, or does she have only her toothbrush heritage to fall back on. The release of stills from that video, plus the drunken audio tape from the bar that same weekend, were what pushed Rob to rehab after a short detour to Chicago, as I recall. Wondering if Doug and Rob knew Kathy's basement crack video was coming or if the media gave advance notice, as some speculated. Wow, could that family be any more bizarre. And yet, Rob and Doug are still marshalling Kathy's son for a future in politics. Also wondering where this puts Kathy and if she'll be doing any more LeDrew interviews.

He has been in the spotlight driving uncs around and maybe after the name change she felt it was a last ditch attempt to save her son from following a path to destruction?
