Description: To construct a 48 Storey office building with mechanical penthouse above; and bus terminal at street level.

The well known earlier SITQ vision for 45 Bay was to be 47 floors and 245m. The number of floors at least, has not changed that much. I wonder how the new version's height compares?

The practice won four major commissions following invitations to enter international design competitions. These are Battersea Power Station, the $2 billion Barangaroo casino development in Sydney, a large commercial development in Toronto and a tower next to the Cheesegrater in the City of London for Japanese corporation Mitsubishi

Any idea how long until we will see renderings/plans for this site? The park over the rail corridor is really exciting!

He (she) had also said that Wilkinson Eyre had won the design competition, which was doubted by several skeptics at the time, but which appears to match waterloowarrior's linked news story.

It seems that 45 Bay at 48 storeys will be the shorter tower and that the tower north of the tracks will be significantly taller.

so it looks like eventually there will be 4 or 5 towers?

edit/maybe the south and east towers are joined....

With the fancy lights on waterloowarrior's first post, I am assuming the towers south of the tracks are joined together...they seem too close together to be two separate towers.
