    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It hasn't seemed anywhere near that dark when I've been there, but I haven't been there for a while. Do you find it looks like this now? Some of the stations with the older lighting seem a bit dim - but this doesn't have that pre-TYSSE lighting. This is more how I remember it.

Dundas West/ Bloor Mobility Hub +interconnected hub network (Metrolinx)

Has the date changed from the previous updates? I thought we'd heard 2027 a long time ago.

    PM Mark Carney's Canada

The Tories have been supporting big transit projects going to developer's front door for years. As have the Liberals. I day say that Trudeau was a bit further left and less pro-corporate. Look at all the backpeddling of green objectives that corporations weren't happy with.

That wasn't TTC. Vaughan insisted, and pushed the issue to the point that Toronto had to back down. I think the planned name was simply Vaughan Centre, not Vaughan Megalopolis Centre.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Most of the injured were the dozens in the cars! And hundreds of damaged cars! Well that's all right then! Carry on! (yeah, that's a joke ... still need traffic controls of some kind)

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Doesn't matter. With hundreds of accidents there's a systemic issue. You reaction to this is 100% wrong, and a disgrace to Canadians. We aren't talking 1 fluke accident here.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Really - 140 accidents at one intersection (where we all know that cars coming off the Gardiner grossly exceed the 40 km/hr limit), and you are blaming the victim? Even considering the drivers over the tons of people around there is abominable. Safety is paramount.

    PM Mark Carney's Canada

I got a phone poll (as usual on my landline) a just now. From Forum Research. Something along the lines of: "With Nathan Erskine Smith's announcing his intention to resign as Beaches—East York MP, who would you vote for in a by-election: Jack Pennings of the Green Party Avi Lewis of the NDP...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Interesting. When I was a kid and doing organized (or unorganized) hikes, many of us tried to walk on the rails; I don't think anyone ever thought of this back then. (not on the mainline ... on rusty virtually abandoned very slow speed track).

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I'm not seeing that in your post or on the website. I'd think when they say "15-minute weekday and evening weekend service" they aren't referring to weekday service.

The TTC report was interesting. It still indicates a Q4 2027 opening, but with a yellow status and the note: On one hand it sounds concerning, but on the other hand, I thought the property agreements and expropriate were completed a long time ago - so is this just stale.

Compare to 750 metres at Pioneer Village and 400 metres at (former) Science Centre stations. Then there's Greenwood station that's 220 metres from Greenwood Avenue. For the longest time. Museum station was 230 metres from the closest public entrance to the ROM - until they reopened the...

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

The Conestoga may have originally been a municipal initiative perhaps, but like the Finch West line it was assumed by the province before construction began in the 1960s.
