TO is now 2nd most expensive city in North America

Yes, but that article is about a study by GaWC that was done in 1999. Here is the results. I find these results disputable and am surprised by how high we are on this list. However, this is from 1999, and Beijing for example has probably jumped from a gamma to beta city, so the rankings are not...

    Toronto Toronto | Hudson's Bay Centre Renovations | 32.87m | 6s | Brookfield | Adamson

Just went by the building today, and just realized what a monstrosity this is and what bad implications it has for the rest of the area. The tower is okay, but the Marriott and the Bay are just about as fugly as you can get. We need a new store that is much less oppressing and more inviting...

    Toronto Toronto | 300 Front Street West | 156.05m | 49s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

Got a rendering of the parkette form the 300 part of Tridel's website. Its certainly been scaled back from Claude Cormier's original plan when it was on the west side of the building. I've attached rendering of both the original and the current one.

I agree. Almost every article I read about this city talks about how we're almost world class, or finally world class or more world class. I think we need to stop obsessing about whether were world class, because if we are or not, we still have a lot of improvements to make.

Toronto Toronto | Ontario Square and Canada Square | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Something similar to the Cheonggyecheon would be good for maybe University Avenue, sing There is already space, but Canada Square would be a bit to small for a stream as water feature.

Bay Adelaide Centre West Tower (Brookfield, 50s, WZMH)

Great pics, although Nathan Phillips Square is looking a bit shabby. Hope that revitalization happens soon.
