I agree - I also believe that this is the most urban you can get outside of the inner neighbourhoods without the congestion, noise and crime (also not affected by flooding?..) I like this new urban planned development but the prices are fairly high - especially given that this is a leasehold...

Are these loft units going to be rental units? I can't seen to find much information on whether or not they will be rental/condo built.

Streetcars in the core would make a lot more sense than having above ground light rail. Calgary does not have streetcars anymore :( I think Edmonton is following the right steps to introduce low level street cars to the downtown core while still maintaining the faster light rail underground...

I was wondering if anyone had some information regarding this upcoming development. It looks like they will be removing some houses to make way for a residential building with 56 units from BCW architects.

Most of the construction in the beltline and mission is for rentals - It would have been nice to have a new built for sale.

So I was doing a little digging because I couldn't any floor plans or sales unit with regards to this project. It turns out that this is going to be a rental unit and not condos like I first assumed - 😐 kind of a bummer to be honest.

Calgary is a car oriented city. As much as I hate to say it these developers have to make sure that they don't remove this type of buyer demographic. Also these developers want to make it welcoming for people to visit by having visible available parking - mehh. I still think that University...

I was hoping that Truman would develop mirror Gateway towers with retail on the North side of Broadcast avenue instead of another supermarket (with south facing retail 😒.... ????) also more surface parking. There's a no frills and a Co-op just on 85th. This is rather disappointing.

Hmmm.. Sadly I can only admit the green ash is the tree that can fall under this description 🙃
