    Value of 2nd bathroom

Second bathroom is still a luxury, not a necessity. For families of four or more members it's a good thing. Sure, we had only one bathroom when I was kid, but it wasn't peachy and yeah, there was usually a lot of waiting and even yelling in the morning, but we managed :) But If I'd ever have a...

    Good Realtors (to sell property)

Try google a realtor who's specialized in your neighbourhood. Look through testimonials on his/her site that these realtors have on their websites. Check their two or three last transactions and don't be afraid to call the clients to ask about their experiences with that realtor. If you know...

What are you drinking right now?

Sadly, I am drinking water (yeah, I'm at work), but I am in this thread for a very selfish reason: I couldn't find any pub recommendation thread on urbancanada! Which is, I might add, kind of scandalous! :D So, I wanted to check out some new pubs with my buds (pun intended) and one colleague...

    Architectural styles unique to Toronto

I think that you are referring to the brutalist movement, which tried to be very functionalist, but it failed to deliver something that you can actually look at without an urge to be depressed. :D

Pope Benedict XVI Resignation and the New Pope

It's kind of weird that Pope resigned, I mean when you look back at John Paul II who had MUCH more health issues and yet he never give up. Yet on other hand I see no point in having such important position, if you are unable to fulfill your duties and commitments.

    androiduk's My Toronto

I like the ceiling, it reminds me Rivendell from Lord of the Rings. And this one reminds me of Christ Church dining hall in Oxford (which was used in Harry Potter movies for the Great Hall scenes). More pics are here...

Movie Theatres in Toronto - Old and New

These are some of the reasons why I stopped going to movie theaters for good. Squeaking seats, people talking to each other (sometimes even on the phone) or laughing, loud eating and drinking, bad sound and inability to pause movie whenever I want to go to the bathroom or to eat something. :)...

CBC: Toronto Skyline Before and After

No matter how the new buildings like, what I find sad is, that they are mostly build on the few green areas that left. I agree on the opinion of the day time thoughj, sometimes the old buildings in downtown much look like something you can see in the old movies situated in former Soviet Union.

    Simcity 5

I don't know about you, but I still find Simcity 2000 and 3000 the best games in the series, no matter how the graphics changed. Ironically, I find the newer games are succumbing to boring stereotypes much easier., maybe it's because the developers spend much more time on graphics than actual...

    Toronto events and festivals

Ah too bad, I've missed that zombie walk, I would love to go as vegetarian zombie grunting "Graaains!" instead of "Braaains!". :)
