Westside Gallery Lofts (Queen West Triangle, Urbancorp, 20 + 8s, Kirkor) COMPLETE

Baird Sampson Neuert were kicked off the job ages ago, that's why that early rendering looks so schematic. Much like Alsop on the Bridge project across the tracks, by the same developer coincidentally, they were hired for a concept, a few flashy pictures, then replaced by mediocre architects...

    Toronto Toronto | King West Life Condominiums | ?m | 25s | Plaza | Gabriel Bodor

Unless they are just redesigning the remaining unsold floors to make them more attractive to buyers based on current market conditions. This is quite a common way to stimulate flat sales for units that aren't selling.

1 Bloor East, DEAD AND BURIED (Bazis, -2s, Varacalli)

I spoke to someone at Hariri Pontarini last week...they were working on a two tower scheme for this site. It sounded very preliminary but sounds like Bazis (or another developer for that matter) is looking at other options.

    Toronto Toronto | Motion On Bay Street | ?m | 29s | Concert | IBI Group

The College Park Metro is packed at lunch hour with office workers buying lunch. I think that will be the same here, as there is a huge daytime population in the area.

    Toronto Toronto | X The Condominium | ?m | 44s | Great Gulf | a—A

But X doesn't have any above grade parking like Casa did, which is partly what slowed it down so much. I think X should move a faster than that.

    Toronto Toronto | Maple Leaf Square | 185.92m | 54s | Lanterra | KPMB

Yeah, I think that was the idea for the ground floor.

    It's not kitsch, it's camp!

    Toronto Toronto | Cinema Tower | 142.64m | 43s | Daniels | Kirkor Architects

No you can see the Festival Tower peeking out beyond this building to the right of it.

    Toronto Toronto | King Blue by Greenland | 155.75m | 48s | Greenland | Arcadis

KPMB is now the design architect on this project, though Page + Steele might still be involved. So glad that first design was scrapped.

    Toronto Toronto | Neon Condos | 49.98m | 20s | Pemberton | Graziani + Corazza

The architects for this project are Hariri Pontarini Architects

Excellent news. One less ugly stucco wedding cake the better.

    Toronto Toronto | Bohemian Embassy Flats + Lofts | ?m | 19s | Pemberton | P + S / IBI

The proposal was rejected by the planning department for being too tall (10 floors I think). They want it to match the 8 floors approved for the Bohemian Embassy. It's going to the OMB I belive.

    Toronto Toronto | Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

I heard a rumour that Concord Adex just bought the Wittington Properties lands, just west of the new park. Looks like 'signature' might be further off than expected, if they decide to develop those lands first.

    Toronto Toronto | Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

looks like a bare bones report to done to sell the site.
  15. M

    Toronto Toronto | Centro Condos | ?m | 31s | Henderson | IBI Group

Yeah, I agree, there's already lots of underutilized land there, single family homes and of course parking lots.
  16. M

High Park Lofts on Roncesvalles (Stinson, 7s, Stanford Downey)

    It looks like a prison.

    Toronto Toronto | DNA3 | ?m | 15s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

Yeah, I don't think there is a volvo dealer downtown...this isn't really for the neighbourhood but the city centre as a whole. As city fills in the dealerships will move further out. Toyota on Front is one i'd like to see go.

Looks like backpainted glass. Very nice.
