Yes, supporting a project that will undoubtedly improve the city, but might not immediately benefit you at this very moment would definitely make you insane. I take it you don't travel downtown much?

Guys, this is just the beginning of Bixi. Already they've expanded outside the Spadina-Jarvis-Bloor boundaries with a station in Kensington Market. Starting small is exactly how they proceeded in other cities. With Montreal the demand was so high they added stations every month in the...

I hope they build something soon in place of that strip mall. And I hope it's actually an addition to the neighbourhood. At least that will mean we'll no longer be focused on this monstrosity.

    Church-Wellesley Village

Seriously. How did this thread suddenly turn so racist and xenophobic? "Those people"? "Refugees"? Good job guys.

Is there a more high quality rendering available?

    R.I.D.E. Program

Can we get back to the Dufferin Jog? Maybe start a new thread on the RIDE program? I'm more interested in when the 501 streetcar will get a stop named Dufferin than whether you guys think a beer or two is drunk driving.

    Roncesvalles Reconstruction

Sometimes it's not even worth replying to an argument. Especially one without any facts.

Why is there such a trend in the city for green glass? Is there a benefit for residents here that I'm missing? Cause from the street it always ends up looking like a suburban office building.

    Toronto Toronto | Trinity-Bellwoods Towns+Homes | ?m | 3s | Urban Capital | Richard Wengle

The site plan that I saw from the developpers was for about 45 townhomes, with over 20 on each street in place of the school. So it's not a small development like townhomes on Richmond, but rather quite a big one that could change the neighbourhood significantly. I would have hoped the...

Cozy West Queen St. West Cafés (West of Spadina)?

How do we know Dark Horse is opening next to Sydneys? There was another thread saying that David's was opening in that location...

    Irresponsible Dog Owners

In some parks, such as Trinity Bellwoods, the City is doing a pilot project on dog waste with bags being provided along with disposal bins. Any word on the project's success?

    Dufferin Street: Eliminating the jog

Why is it a useless parkette? When I walked by last weekend I saw lots of people using the space in different ways - kids playing, a guy reading, etc. With some plants, flowers, trees, it could look great!

    Election Signs on condo balconies

What case involved a woman showing her breasts on a balcony? Cause in Ontario a woman can go topless in public.

Too easy to get a driver's license?

It would be great to have the tests improved so that drivers better understand what cyclists and pedestrians are legally allowed to do on streets. In my opinion, a lot of road rage comes from the fact that too many drivers think they dominate the roads and believe, for example, cyclists aren't...

    Toronto Council Races - 2010

This is all balony. Why wouldn't a candidate support other candidates running for different levels of office if they believe in the same ideals? Somehow it's corruption if it happens with the NDP in Trinity Spadina, but the Liberals and Tories doing everywhere else in the city is ok? Sounds like...

    Dufferin Street: Eliminating the jog

For me intersections should be planned not just on what makes for better traffic flow, but for what makes a better neighbourhood. I really wish Torontonians would realize our streets are not just thoroughfares for cars. We've got a lot of growing up to do.
