^HUH? If you don't want to go to a football game thats fine, but last time I went to a argo game I don't remember being force fed beer and junk food... Also to my knowledge the Argos never played rugby, the team was started by the Toronto Argonaut Rowing Club in 1873(?) hence the nick name...

my friend has a condo across the street and the only people you see coming and going out of that place ply their trade on Jarvis if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the info, it's frustrating trying to use their web page. I can't find any place to even register, I'll keep checking weekly after the new year.

ok, Billonlogan, i've got a question for you. I've been trying for ages to find out info on withrow park ball hockey league, their webpage is a total mess. My son missed out on it last year because we missed registration, so I figured if anyone know you would know. I played in the league...

    Toronto Toronto | Royal Ontario Museum | ?m | ?s | Daniel Libeskind

I know we don't usually see eye to eye, but yes, that is one of the worst designed websites I have ever seen. How many fundamental rules of design can be broken on one page? back to the ROM, I agree the final cladding is what really brings this building down, the mismatch of shades of the...

Five signs a housing recovery is on the way

Thanks we love the area and didn't want to leave, I've lived in Riverdale since 1982, it's the only home I've really ever known. The size of the homes vary street to street. The one we are on is all little cottages and row houses. it's a great street but no front yard to speak of (which I...

Five signs a housing recovery is on the way

Having a second child, moving from a 1050sqf 2 bdr row house on a 14x75 lot to a 1700sqf 3+1bdr semi on a 18x155 ft lot across the street from an excellent school. Bought our row house 3 years ago, made a profit of $115,000 makes the switch much less painful when moving up in the same area...

    Family Emergency Shelters in Toronto

Nellies or Nelly's (SP?) on Queen street east is a good shelter for abused mothers/children. They run a drop in centre for hungry kids and have numerous secret shelters scattered around the area to help abused mothers escape and get back on their feet. My wife and I donate, clothing, toys...

    Over-the-air HD TV

hey if you don't watch TV good for you, but for a lot of people out there the TV becomes an easy excuse to sit and do nothing after working and chasing two toddlers all day. And I would be willing to bet that if the average person out there ditched cable for OTA the hours of viewing per week...

    Over-the-air HD TV

My wife worked for Rogers for 8 years, that how we got hooked on full cable, shes extremely sceptical of those figures. it's not just about the money. It also about having a family that watches that tripe called cable TV. Anyone here that doesn't have cable knows what I'm talking about. You...

    Over-the-air HD TV

yeah you need an ATSC, i believe thats what it's called. I have a toshiba Regza which has it built in. Even if it's an extra cost of $200, plus the antenna, $70. it would be the equivalent of 2.5 months of cable bills. For people like us, it makes a whole lot more sense.

    Over-the-air HD TV

with Bell we are pretty much in the same boat. It's not that it's "too expensive' but all I watch is sports and news, I work for TSN hence why I'd like to see the work I do actually used but for the price it'sjust not worth it. And to tell the truth, tv steals your ambition. If I want to watch a...

    Over-the-air HD TV

Thanks for all the responses guys.... We just bought a new place and are expecting a second child so it's time for some belt tightening. I'm not a big TV watcher, so it's kind of a waste of money for us, also I work for a TV network, so naturally I HATE TV. The place we bought is at Queen and...

    Over-the-air HD TV

So my wife and I are really growing frustrated with paying huge fees for HD content through Rogers, basically we are paying an arm and a leg for the HD channels and getting a ton we don't watch just for the pleasure of getting normal content in HD. So we've been looking into getting an OTA...
