I live way south of Muskoka (towards Collingwood) but most municipal roads around me remain unpaved. Only county and provincial roads are paved and it's the same in Muskoka. I live on an unpaved road (as do most of my friends) and I drive a pickup (as do most of my friends!).

In rehab #RoFo is in a peculiar position because he's surrounded by people who know his family and situation. Surely they must be telling him, look, dude, your brother is a manipulative dick and your family are destroying you. And I'm sure he knows that in his heart. No wonder he's not answering...

Oh, and the other thing that struck me... his weird violence towards Lisi and Bellissimo, his fantasy-violence rants... the bullying acts of a man who has been bullied all his life, punching down because he's afraid to punch up.

I'm not big on armchair diagnoses but RoFo does seem to have the classic 'troubled clown' persona. Self-loathing and insecurity concealed beneath a fragile layer of bonhomie which turns to aggression when challenged. His obvious vulnerability makes him hard to dislike.
