I'm not fully following. Wouldn't the city maintenance department receive funding to take on Warehouse Park - the same funding that would be used to pay a private company to do it?

I understand apartment building residents in complexes like the David Thompson that were built with zero guest parking wanting to retain as much street parking in the neighbourhood as possible. Building safe, viable alternatives to driving though requires some new infrastructure so in many cases...

There are still a number of huge missing links in our system and that's a significant factor in people feeling safe using it. Well said. Most of our active transportation infrastructure is shared use (walking and cycling) and given that walking is the #1 type of physical activity for people to practice wellness, especially for older adults, money spent in this area is invaluable in creating a more liveable and healthy...

So if the province does come through and covers the $35 million Coliseum demolition among other things, what would people like the city to do with $35 million the city has already set aside in the budget? - reduce city tax increase? - incentives for downtown condo projects (new and conversion)...

A park that was nearly half the cost of Vancouver's Rainbow Park and built a bit earlier is Kinistinaw Park in the Quarters. It's hard to see the nearly $7 million for this park - was it mostly land cost? This was the original render.

I've walked by the past two (hot) days and it was quite busy with kids/families playing in the water. When warehouse park is open, I wonder what option young families will choose more often?
