Bird Friendly Buildings in Toronto - I see dead birds everywhere

Not a building, but I came across this mirror along the Leslie Spit. Nice to see bird-friendly designs being implemented in more situations.

    East Don Trail Project

Though I agree with the sentiment, that bridge is likely in the section that is not currently open so they are trespassing.

Canada Qualifies for 2022 World Cup.

Funny enough, Chicago, 5th biggest city in NA, is not hosting any games. They weren't even in the final running!

    No argument there!

Canada Qualifies for 2022 World Cup.

The average temperature in Qatar in June/July is 36C. In December it's 21C. If it's played in June/July, players are going to suffer heat exhaustion and ultimately affect the games.

Still have a bit to go before it gets to the "concrete strip" (mechanical) levels on 2 Bloor West. The One is probably about the 11th level of 2BW.

Broadview Extension Environmental Assessment (City of Toronto)

This ramp is the least hairiest there is. The lane continues as the third NB lane so there is no merging required. Coming from the Don Roadway/Lake Shore is a bit more sketch with the lane ending quickly and the ramp from the Gardiner being elevated and on a curve.

    @Fresco remodels the Toronto waterfront

The portion east of Jarvis will be shifted northwards adjacent to the rail corridor.

    Toronto Raptors

From what I read (don't recall where) there are six cities including Toronto vying for two WNBA expansion teams.

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

I haven't been following the hoopla around Pearson's delays. Are these occurring at departures, arrivals, or both?

If staff haven't prepared a recommendation report for the June 29th TEYCC meeting, their won't be a decision on the height increase until January 2023 at the earliest.

    Ikea

I find them overrated. I’ll settle for the cheap hot dogs and soft serve ice cream.

I am also curious as to what happens here. Donalda, you're next! (A continuous East Don Trail from the Forks of the Don to Steeles Ave is my dream).

Whatever it takes to complete Phase 3 of the East Don Trail, do it!

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

One of my pet peeves with MTO's highway signage is at major interchanges along Hwy 401 at other provincial freeways where it's signed to a different freeway, not the actual one with the interchange. For example, at the 403/410 interchange, the sign says "QEW (Hamilton) via 403" rather than "403...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Six years? People who are unhoused have been evading transit fares for as long as public transit existed. So what? How many panhandlers and unauthorized buskers have pushed people on to the tracks? You’re using this incident as an argument to keep certain people from using a public resource...
