    Toronto Toronto | 32 Camden | ?m | 12s | Sorbara | Core Architects

The sales centre for this project is currently being built out in the former 400 Wellington St W sales centre at 60 Bathurst. It looks like it will be ready soon.

    Toronto Toronto | 400 Wellington West | 38m | 12s | Sorbara | SMV

I know forumers don't like to get off topic; I was just responding to a previous note about Sorbara's reputation. We experienced a gas leak in our unit due to damage to pipes during installation, flooring that was installed incorrectly (various sized planks from multiple cartons were sorted by...

    Toronto Toronto | 400 Wellington West | 38m | 12s | Sorbara | SMV

We purchased new from Sorbara in one of their latest projects; I really doubt I'd do it again. I love our unit but there were several quality issues with their subtrades and especially the property management company they hired. Sorbara really cheaped out on common elements and mechanical systems.

They do take reservations but for this game the reservation list closed a few days in advance. By 5:30 the lineup was half of what is shown in the pictures. If you get there by 4:30 for a 7pm game you can get in for a table and see the game on the huge screen.

I was thinking the exact same thing about Red looking like Pacific Mall. This is not a good thing.

I am all for orange. Yellow is predictable and too generic. Red is too austere and mechanical; it does not mesh with the neighbourhood tone nor structures. I shudder when I look at its elevations. Orange is breathtaking. I love the play of colour bridging the buildings to the north and south...

Toronto Toronto | CityPlace Puente de Luz Bridge | ?m | ?s | Concord Adex | Francisco Gazitua

I saw a rendering in a recent flyer Go had distributed to residents along the corridor. It looked like a simple white rounded truss bridge with a horse head appendage at one end to represent the iron horse - the railroad. Not sure I love it; could have been so much better.

These are some very good examples of the impact of good architecture on condo desirability.

They're lovely but there's one detail that really bothers me. The foremost narrow, tall side panel should have been in wood. It would have completed that edge of the wood frame - an effect used on the other wood frames. The thing with these infill projects is that you definitely need to be aware...

    Toronto Toronto | Parade at Concord CityPlace | 127.4m | 44s | Concord Adex | P + S / IBI

It does exist but perhaps is exaggerated or overused. The builder of our condo neglected to build the lobby as advertised in renderings, opting to omit a beautiful wood partition that would have hid the mail area, amongst other minor variances.

    IT-Works! (Liberty Village, 4x 2-9s)

I work in the building at the south-east corner of King/Dufferin and I can't figure out where this would go. Also, with Corus moving out of Liberty Village and into their new building soon, I can't imagine there's much demand for offices in this neighbourhood.

    Toronto Toronto | West Harbour City | ?m | 36s | Plaza | BDP Quadrangle

Went for a long walk in the neighbourhood last night and noticed the deco detailing of the old Loblaws warehouse at Bathurst/Lakeshore also sets a precident for this style in the neighbourhood. The pointy cap pieces on the warehouse are very similar to those being used on WHC.

Gosh I don't know all the technical terms, but definitely the frieze panels. The deco influences. The pointy cap pieces along the roofline edges. Something about the window of WHC reminds me of the windows in the turrets of Tip Top too. And the colour of the cladding material is similar to Tip Top.

Well put! But I don't feel Casa has nearly a fraction of the elegance of the TD Centre of other Mies buildings.
