I don't understand why this facility is so small. Is it on a separate power grid, or are the services offered there more educational in nature?

This is severely under-built for the location. I would like to see more units, and at least twice the number of proposed floors. This will take away a prime downtown block an lock in a low number of units forever.

It is likely the city will require a funds be set aside from the developer as part of conditions set in the development agreement before the DP is released.

I wonder if we will get to a point where new office towers will be needed because of the success of conversions like this. I know we have a long way yet to go, but hoping that we incrementally approach a balanced market. Selfishly I just want Calgary to get a supertall.

Unfortunately the timeline for this seems to be end of summer - according to the project page (https://www.calgary.ca/planning/parks-rec/humpy-hollow-redevelopment.html) we are still nearly 2 months out. Not sure how that's even possible with the park looking nearly complete.

Pretty sure they vacated that building a few years back. They moved their offices into Eighth Avenue Place. That building is mostly empty, no?
