The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

Looks like one section has stopped working on the screen.

They might be staying, but not in this location! https://www.mctamneys.com/letter/?v=3e8d115eb4b3

I did not expect someone else would have already updated this haha. @brianyyz you clearly live somewhere directly above me! They're over in this corner now.

Can we move messages about the privacy issue to another thread and leave this one about the construction related to TEC?

I really don't like the low rise portion above the historic buildings. It floats over top of them, and doesn't fit or match. Ugly. The tower should just go straight up behind the buildings and get rid of those boxy parts.

The way I understood his question, is that he was asking about sharing photos that are posted here on Urban Toronto that are also hosted here on Urban Toronto's forum.

    Dark Mode option

I too would love a dark mode of the forum.

The west and east parts are what makes this look interesting if you ask me, and the angled roofline. The TD logos are going to make the building more ugly, not less. That's what happens when you reduce the height of the building.

FYI I was referring to the flat portions, which look like precast, not metal. Obviously the three dimensional portions are not precast. Interesting to know that even the flat portions are metal.

I see barrels. Those are usually for the soil tests.

Yes! The glass is actually silver-y like the renders. So happy to see that.

He was joking that this building is way too fancy to be furnished with IKEA.

I'm so curious what happened! Spill the tea lol. Either way, you're not missing anything. The only reason I read BlogTO is they are great for hearing about new stores and restaurants. But ya, they are all about the clickbait headlines. Though they are not quite as bad as Narcity.

    Toronto Toronto | 419 College Street | 43.15m | 13s | BDP Quadrangle

I was referring to the people who are moving downtown from the suburbs and what they would think of as luxuries. Ie. big box stores.

I think a lot of these people moving downtown from the suburbs because "downtown is cool," want to live downtown with all the luxuries of suburban living. Ie. big box retail and corporate bars and restaurants.

Like others have said, there is no loss here in terms of the existing buildings. While I've never been to Nest or Sneaky Dees, I can respect that they have been very important culturally. Entertainment and art is and has been a very big part of Toronto for a long time, and to just allow...
