lol...Karen's campaign is looking sadder each day. If she was hoping to use this campaign as a means of boosting her name recognition in order to seriously run in 2018, I don't think it's going very well. However, if Soknacki is using this campaign as a means of boosting his name recognition...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ford proposed redrawing the boundaries as a result of going from 44 to 22 councillors. Soknacki is in favour of redrawing the current riding boundaries but staying at 44 wards/councillors.

Speaking of Soknacki, he released a discussion paper about the political gridlock. I think it's well thought out and deserving of credit (and discussion)! Team Soknacki on the issues, again. Kudos to him and his campaign so far...

I will add that I'm disappointed that Wynne refused to listen to the advice of both Metrolinx and the Golden report. It leaves an awful taste in my mouth when politicians ignore the advice of people with an expertise in transit in favour of scoring populist political points.

Despite being shocked by today's announcement, I will wait and see what's included in the provincial budget. If the money will be dedicated from other revenue streams (other than the ones ruled out today), I think we should still be happy. $2 billion a year is still $2 billion a year, regardless...
