Big difference in quality when compared to units just north on Confederation or Edge Towers. Was hoping these two would stand out for quality, not just height and shape.

Plenty of room on Confederation. Just need to remove on-street parking and those poorly thought-out planters with the leaning trees and dead hostas.

Having a stop on Duke of York doesn't do much to attract ridership. Should be on Living Arts Drive or Confederation Parkway.

Just received a response from the Metrolinx Community Relations Specialist concerning the Fairview LRT stop. According to them, It will be located at the intersection of Fairview Road and Hurontario. Not sure why they would put it there. So close to the Cooksville stop no density and no demand.

Looks like the old theatre will be a National Geographic Ultimate Experience Centre. You are able to see some of the front behind a gap in the tarp.

Looks like the old movie theatre is going to be a National Geographic Ultimate Explorer centre. Not sure how big it will be but the front is massive and reminds me a little of the Rainforest Cafe.

From the Mississauga News "Metrolinx spokesperson Nitish Bissonauth said in an email that the exact dimensions of the substation and its foot print on land will be known once a vendor and model have been selected. Other substations in the province, Bissonauth said, are around five metres wide...

Fairview is the name of the neighbourhood (https://www.insauga.com/did-you-know-mississauga-has-22-neighbourhoods) as well as the road to the south of Central Parkway. If they do move the station south it would be very close to the Cooksville stop.

Looks like they've started rebar and concrete on M2.

Since we know what the city wants, It will be interesting to see what Omers wants to do with the area. I believe they own most of it around SQ1. They could follow the model they are planning to use at Yorkdale and Scarborough Town Centre. With shopping habits changing and the need for brick...

According to the Downtown 21 master plan, the main goal for the city is to turn this area into an employment hub, rather than a giant shopping mall, soon to be a giant food court. This is why the city wants the loop. It's Easier to attract the office employment the city is looking for and to...

We'll know when they get their audit finished and announce their budget in the Fall. Judging by the way he handled TO council, he will have no issues pulling the plug saying "the people" elected him to save money for the taxpayer as the reason.

Mississauga Soccer Stadium (Canadian Premier League, other events)

The Playdium go-cart track and adjacent empty field is able to fit the original BMO stadium (21,000 capacity). If they are looking for a stadium to hold 10,000, it could work. Parking would be less of a factor considering the Rathburn HLRT station will be right beside it.
