A friend of mine went to the fly presentation centre today, and the saleswomen there told him that after all the cancellation and stuff, it is now ~50% sold. If their ad on torstar about the 72% units sold was accurate, there were quite a bit of cancellation ...

At this moment, i would probably go with the standard finishing. A nice view would be good but not a must. What's more important would be the resale value: if in the future, my view (north or west) eventually got blocked by new developments, how would that affect the resale value of my unit...

I just looked at the site plan of the Fly Condos. It looks like a significant number of units of facing the Element. Any idea how good these units are? I am excited at the 160K starting prices, but are worried that the sight from those units may not be very pleasant. Am I just worried too...
