Reading back my comment, I wasn't clear on what I was annoyed with! I have 0 against BMO, I just wish the biggest and most prominent retail unit in this development was for something a little more exciting than a bank (ie. Restaurant or cafe).

We have windows! The first for the new community centre have appeared on the south facing side. Work continues on the rink/ walkway/ BMX/ skate park. You can make out the outline of the pathway in the photos below. All from today.

In a way too Toronto, should've been expected way, the anchor tenant is.... drumroll.... A BMO branch. BMO Blue branding has gone up on the windows of the corner retail unit along Dupont and the new 'diagonal' street. Confirmed by contractors inside. Pictures from today.

From the IKEA Vaughan parking lot this past Saturday. I'm optimistic, but I hope the balcony wave pattern in Phase 2 either compliments Phase 1s or is very different, I think a carbon copy might look a little too cookie cutter and it would lose its whimsical-ness.

At least they circled all the damaged spots with spray paint so we know where to spray the self-expanding foam!

From today. Got a tour of some of the rental units. Very nicely furnished, and none of those wonky layouts you see downtown. Prices are slightly better than downtown prices, though there are no studios, which ultimately brings up the price. The gym, shared between the 3 buildings is incredible...
