GWL investments would have to sell the lot. They are holding on to it with no plans to sell. but I have heard rumblings of some big investors & big name developers from Vancouver starting to plan trips to Edmonton to look at some potential projects in the very near future. So you never know

This sounds a lot like $725/sqft is including the soft cost vs $285 is the build cost. There is no doubt though that a lot of public buildings cost more though. Part of the reason is I am certain architects look for the most expensive materials to build a building. curtain wall, fancy...

What do you mean no entertainment spots or jobs? Clementine, earls and the cabin pub are great spots, there is a sake bar, on the rocks. Jobs you're 3 blocks away from 124st which has all kinds of different opportunities. That's a pretty bold statement with no thought put into it
