It would be either overkill or the best parking ratio and marketing opportunity for a smaller scale project.
As for the parkade. Unless someone gets really creative, it would be hard to recoup cost for a 5 or 6 story building. Underground Casino maybe?I’m also curious how long the pit can sit there before it becomes unsafe, the board in the retaining structure are starting to look rough and there are a few that are completely broken. Maybe that’s not an issue, I know nothing about it, but it seems like they only have so long before that hole threatens surrounding property.
The pit that eventually became The Hat at 5 Corners was there for several years. No idea how long they last but there definitely is precedent.I’m also curious how long the pit can sit there before it becomes unsafe, the board in the retaining structure are starting to look rough and there are a few that are completely broken. This is starting to sound like a Parks & Recreation episode with all of this pit talk! The pit that eventually became The Hat at 5 Corners was there for several years. No idea how long they last but there definitely is precedent.
There are workers on site, they seem to just be pumping out the lake that's formed at the bottom of the pit. Probably nothing but could possibly be a good sign?
Bump!If this gets going and concrete is above grade I will buy those who like this post a beer (or whatever beverage) one day to celebrate. Not joking.
