84 people donated more than $100 to Coun. Giorgio Mammoliti's 2014 council campaign. Of those, 41 list addresses outside Toronto. 49%.

Reminds me of all the people from outside of Toronto who showed up for Ford Fest.

A few thoughts after digging through the candidate financial statements:


- It’s amazing how much of a role incumbency plays in your ability to fundraise. Case in point: Sandra Bussin, who ran as an incumbent in 2010 was able to fundraise in $51,000. This time around she was trying to win her seat back and could only raise $14,000.

- Even incumbents who were facing next to no competition like Josh Matlow and Michael Thompson loaded their coffers, raising $52,000 and $69,000, respectively. Is this a case of not taking your competition lightly, or galvanizing supporters and fundraisers for tougher elections to come?

- Out of all the incumbents running for re-election Ron Moeser spent the least at $15,000.

Yeah, I agree. We elect them to pay attention when council is in session.

It's absolutely infuriating to watch council footage. There were a number of times the last few days that Nunziata had to make a quorum call because there were numerous absentees.


All press needs to be banned from having interviews outside the council chambers as well - the number of times council has to be held up for that reason is a joke.

Someone should inform him that 58% of the popular vote (at 10K with change) doesn't equate to 58% of Ward 39. The majority probably voted with their feet and stayed home.

Correct! Voter turnout was pretty bad in his ward.
