Yeah, no real reason for any other candidate to bother registering. Kind of like Jeff Sessions in Alabama...

I wouldn't be that drastic--the Midland-Penetang zone's got a good bloc of Lib or at least non-Tory support (the Franco-Ontarioan history's helped)

In the last election, the NDP and Liberals got 48% together, and the PC had 44%. Dunlop beat Larsen (Liberal) by 44% to 33% last time. But it was 55% to 22% (Dunlop and Larsen again). It's not inconceivable that PC might lose, particularly given that 16-year incumbent is gone and Larsen is still running.

Though I expect the NDP and Liberal will split the vote.

Most people hate Wynne and the Liberals right now though. This is a slam dunk for the PC's.

Making a run federally?
To sit in opposition miles away for at least the next 4 years (and probably longer) in her 60s?

I really doubt it. Unless she see's lining herself up as the next leader of the party after Harpy. (and why not, there's little competition).

After Patrick Brown became PC leader, she went into hiding. Maybe she is done with politics.

Also wonder if any of the triplets are in line to replace her (Mikey-ish as it sounds)

Here's hoping. It would be nice to have some real alternatives to the Liberals in the next election.
