Fox News is reaching, as always.

Nearly thirty years ago, Walz was stopped for speeding, then arrested when he blew slightly over the limit, pled guilty (to a lesser charge) and now doesn’t drink at all. This shows me he’s human, made a dumb move (while causing no harm), learned from it and committed to decades of public service thereafter. What’s not to like?

Indeed - he offered to resign, but was basically convinced by the principal not to. That's integrity - can you imagine Vance (nevermind Trump) ever doing that?

As to Shapiro - there was an argument out in Politico that he was basically showboating as a VP candidate, and that he didn't click with Harris. Walz is definitely a better choice - the kind of "real" that the Dems tend not to have (and instantly disarms the coastal elite argument).

EDIT: To add to that - there is a pic of Walz in hunting garb holding a rifle (and we already know that he served in the National Guard) making the rounds. It communicates to an essential segment of the American electorate in a language that Harris could not have done.

Musk could ask Trump soon if he'd like to be the first man on Mars, because after a lost election all interest in things orange will evaporate. In the interests of humanity Don boy, please accept any and all offers from Elon.

Well, he's kind of the right shade already for the "red planet".

Please send him there for humanity's sake, Elon - it would be a modern day St. Helena...

If Trump doesn't have consequences and if there's no justice, this will never end. It'll just be a different face.

You don't think a 59 yr old half black woman running against the oldest nominee in American history is going to make a difference?
It’s noteworthy (to me, at least) that both the first and hopefully the next black Presidents are children of immigrants. I wonder how long we’ll wait until a black descendant of American slavery becomes President. There’s a good chance that Harris’ Jamaican-born father is a descendant of British Caribbean slavery, but so far the unique story and the descendants of US slavery are seemingly being skipped over by a new generation of black Americans with no connection to the nation’s slave past.

The first generation domestically-born children of immigrants (of all races) often do well due to parental pressure towards education and hard work, along with strong family roots (even though both Obama and Harris’ fathers played minor roles), so that likely gives an edge.
