The "we got a mandate" argument it at best a weak one, often made by someone who doesn't have other good arguments to defend what they are doing or who isn't really interested in defending it but has to make an effort to do so.

It kind of sounds like a weasily way of saying yes we will shuffle some money to them somehow, although not in an obvious or transparent way, but it a backhanded one.
 
Now that C**T of a Premier May build hotels in YYC? The fact that she didn't automatically amd profoundly say “No!” Is concerning. “Won’t likely…..” what kind of a an answer is that? So she’ll build the infrastructure and community rink……

CBC is reporting on a new poll by Janet Brown that shows NDP and UCP statistically tied: 46% to 48%. This would actually be an NDP win as UCP support has increased in the rural areas and decreased in Calgary!
In a first past the post/electoral college system horse race polls are near useless.

Vote efficiency needs to be taken into consideration and all ridings need to be looked at individually.
 
I hope he doesn't spend the next 3 years trying to divorce from the national NDP and instead focus on the issues affecting all Albertans. Polls show NDP and UCP tied. Last thing we need is divisive infighting.
